John Hybrid is a companion project to Boomer Baby Sounds — a place where I create original music using a mix of my own songwriting, production, and selective AI‑assisted tools. The goal isn’t to sound electronic or futuristic, but to explore new ways of shaping the same kinds of songs I’ve always written. While the core remains organic and story‑driven, some tracks may lean into a slightly more atmospheric or cinematic texture when the song calls for it. Even with the hybrid workflow, the foundation stays fully human: the chord progressions, lyrics, melodies, arrangements, and production choices all come from my own creative process. If Boomer Baby Sounds represents my fully human‑performed work, John Hybrid is where I experiment with process while keeping the heart, tone, and storytelling intact.

I’ve always embraced technology as part of my creative process. From early digital recording tools to modern DAWs, new technology has consistently opened doors to better songwriting, clearer production, and more honest presentations of the music I hear in my head. AI‑assisted tools are simply the next evolution of that journey. While AI‑generated music can be controversial, I view it no differently than the arrival of the DAW — an alternate method of creating music that, at times, can deliver a stronger or more accurate expression of a song than a fully human‑performed version. John Hybrid exists as a space where I can explore these tools without changing the heart of the music. It’s still rooted in storytelling, emotion, and organic tone — just created through a workflow that blends traditional craft with modern possibilities.
